CrossFit No Quarter Banner
When asked if I could produce an outdoor banner for the opening of a new CrossFit gym, I created this project which allowed them to reuse the banner indoors in the gym and provided a simple means of reusing the banner for future promotions--saving them a great deal of money.
Introduction
I was originally hired to create a website or a new CrossFit gym. When the owner of the gym was unable to produce a logo for the website, I stepped in and provided a number of proofs. I went on to create their entire identity package, store signage, promotional materials, website, and more. This was in addition to resolving conflicts with their internet service provider, their property management company, the sign printer, and the banner printer. I even personally installed the banner to demonstrate how it could be reused in other contexts.
Outdoor Banner
This behance project shows the unique design and inbstallation of an indoor/outdoor banner. Rather than creating a single use banner for Outisde and then a second banner for inside or for special events, I created a banner in three parts. See the captions below for an explanation of how this project was set up to be reusable in any number of contexts.

This is the main background for each panel. Notice that it does not contain any event-specific printing on it. This allowed us to reuse the banner inside the facility and for future events.

This section of banner was used for their opening. By making it a separate piece, we only have to print another small section using the same artwork and different content for future events and promotions--thus reducing the cost of new promotional advertising considerably.

This is the bottom section of the banner. Although this information remains constant, by separating it into a detatchable piece, we are able to not only stay within the signage guidelines, but also to reuse this section for future promotions.

When combined, the three parts of the banner follow the corporate identity guidelines and give us the greatest flexibility for indoor/outdoor signage at the lowest cost possible.

This was the final banner as it was installed on a busy street. By angling the two panels, we ensured the content was visible to oncoming traffic from both directions. Within hours of placing the banner, they had new members signing up.
