The cover for this book was designed to look like embossed type on an old leather cover.
The border and type effects were made in Photoshop while the text was set in Illustrator.

These two images were reproduced from portions of photographs that could not be used due to decay.
Though all of the components were present in the original documents,
some of the pieces had to be recreated for legibility and effect.

By combining several propaganda posters, this collage illustrates the sentiment

Originally scanned as a faded full color image, I isolated the subjects of the photo and applied liberal feathering to give the photo a marquis effect while allowing the subjects to pop.
This photograph originally was in a terrible state of disrepair. The fountains in the background were created to match the original photograph, but very little of the original could be used to reproduce the water.
